Paris Fashion Week just closed, and they surely saved the best for last! Now, I'm sure the majority of you have heard the name Elie Saab thrown around on red carpet events, TV, and magazines, but don't pay enough attention to the intricate detail and undeniable beauty of these garments. Keep in mind, this runway show was only Ready-to-Wear, not even couture! I've always gushed about how unbelievably amazing his designs looked simply on TV or in magazines, but it wasn't until I saw a piece in person that I was blown away. First run in? Grammy Red Carpet 2012. I was simply an escort waiting in line to get my next artist to lead down the carpet when all of a sudden Katy Perry comes out of the car. While I was supposed to remain quiet I couldn't help but gasp out loud "Elie Saab!!!!!". Wearing a blue 3/4 sleeve gown, V-back, with a long fishtail train and cinched waist with a skinny belt with a bow, she looked like a retro goddess. While these "sparkles" look good in media, it is simply mind-blowing to see in person. We all know that sparkles and sequins are typically cheap looking and difficult to make couture without it looking like a bad prom gown. But the sparkle/sequin detail on these gowns are exquisite and unexplainable. They sparkle like raindrops found only in heaven and maintain a high couture look that is breathtaking. His attention to detail with the most difficult designs that include lace and hand stitched sequins are simply untouchable, the man is remarkable.

Here are a few of my favorites from the Spring/Summer 2013 show! Photos courtesy of Style.com
Look 10:
The colors and almost paint splashed designs are such a wonderful addition to spring. With the black detail and thin belt it is easy to make this work day outfit leave a lasting impression and even jealousy among the office. Plus, it gives any body type a great shape! P.S.- look at those killer shoes! I need those in my life ASAP!!!!
Look 21:
While peplum made a huge impact in fall, I am so glad to see it fall over into Spring/Summer! It is a way to give a lady-like image a new edgy twist as well as create a great waist. The fit of this blazer is spectacular and the peplum is fun, edgy and new! Also, let's talk about this amazing skirt, while it may be simple and elegant, look closely at the lace detail in between the white panels! Love! Also, kind of digging this white on white!
Look 31:
OH MY GOODNESS. Did you just hit the floor? Because I just did! There are no words, just look at that hand-crafted detail!!!!!
Look 32:
Seriously Elie, I'm again left speechless. the sparkle, lace detail, and the abstract design and belted waist. I think I just hit the floor again. No words, he knows how to fit a woman's body and make her look unbelievably spectacular!!!
Look 35:
Alright, really.... DETAIL!!!! Speechless once again, the lace, the sparkle. The couture night-time look. I have no words except I need this in my closet!
