Who Says You Can't Wear Pajamas?

Who says looking good can't be comfortable!? The number one excuse for people not looking put together is because they say they either don't have enough time, or they need to be comfortable. Well let me show how both can be done! All you need to do is take, in this case, a PJ top, add some bold accessories and heels and boom you're done!

A little red lipstick? Check!

Simple Chic

NOTE: Stupid me left the date/time function on the camera and can't get it off the pictures! So bear with me that it looks kind of weird right now

Who says you can't look fabulous in just a T-shirt? All it takes is a little red lipstick and some heels and boom, ready for a night out with the girls!!!!

What They Should've Worn: Part 3

#1 Kimberly Perry failed to impress in this black dress at the CMA Awards this year:

My picks:

This beautiful Reem Acra gown from the Ready to Wear Resort 2013 Collection:

OR:

Elie Saab (my obsession!) Mini-Sequined Gown:

OR:
For a simple more casual look: Nina Ricci butterfly-Burnout Velvet Dress:

#2 Hayden Panetierre looked fab in this Georges Chakra dress BUT it was too spring/summer

My Pick:

Emilio Pucci Sateen Peplum Dress:

#3 Brantley Gilbert's plain black suit jacket was unimpressive and just because he had a leather jacket UNDERNEATH it does not make it rocker.

My Picks:

While I am not sure how he looks in any other color than black, I do like that this Balmain Jacket is classy and rocker with studs surrounding the entire outer edges.

OR:
Armani Leather Jacket

What They Should've Worn: Part 2

#1 Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town wore this unflattering Notte by Marchesa metallic gown:

My pick: Gucci green emerald velvet with animalier effect. Karen can pull off so many styles I feel this could have made such a bold statement on the carpet and put her on the best dressed list.

OR
Naeem Khan Sequined Combo Gown if she wanted a more subtle look:

#2 While Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum looked stunning in this sexy Dolce & Gabbana number, I am simply tired of seeing her in all black

My picks:

Gucci Floral-Embriodered Tulle Gown (yes, I know it is black, but the detail is too ornately beautiful to pass up)

OR:

Carmen Marc Valvo Braid-Strap Satin Gown:

What They Should've Worn: Part 1

#1 Jennifer Nettles looked great almost 9 months pregnant in this Donna Karan gown, but I feel the neckline was unflattering.

My picks:
Monique Lhuillier: This gown would've still worked with her baby bump, and the neckline would've been more interesting and flattering.

OR: Alexander McQueen: While I am not completely sold on this color, the sweetheart neckline and flow of this gown would've been more flattering:

OR
Even this Catherine Deane possibly could've worked and given her a much more glamorous presence to the carpet:

#2 While Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square looked the best I've seen her yet I feel her beautiful Catherine Deane gown was too much of a spring/summer color.

My pick:
This beautiful belted green Catherine Deane gown:

#3 Reba looked absolutely STUNNING in this vibrant blue dress. And while I don't have anything bad to say regarding it (heck I hope I can pull something off like that at that age!) it would have been nice to see her in a floor length gown and save the short dresses for a less formal event.

My pick:
Oscar De La Renta Sequined Scoop-Back Gown

CMA Awards: Worst Dressed

#1 While Kimberly Perry's hair and makeup was unbelievably stunning and quite possibly the best I have ever seen, her dress fell flat. It was first of all way to casual to wear to an awards show of this caliber, and the red belt looked cheap with sparkle details. It just overall did not impress and looked like something that came out of a a Nordstrom Rack.

#2 While I loved Kimberly's metallic dress, Karen Fairchild of Little Big town left me wondering how she made it out of the house in this  Notte by Marchesa draped metallic gown. While I see the intent was greek goddess, the shape that the dress gives her is anything but flattering. But whats even more amazing is that it actually looks even worse on the model. This dress needs to be taken back and re-worked before being sold.

#3 While the attempt was noticed, it simply failed. Jake Owen's wife Lacey wore a stunning Raoul gown with a contrast V inset, though it was not appropriate for someone who is almost 9 months pregnant. The fact that the sheer panels showed her bra and her baby bump were tacky. If she wore this while she wasn't almost due to give birth, she would be on my best dressed list. And should we talk about Jake? While he said he didn't know who made his jacket I could care less if it was Dolce or any other couture designer, this is tacky. While I am not saying he can't pull off animal print in general, I would've liked it if the print was more subtle.

#4 The beautiful Faith Hill failed to impress and did nothing to help her on her come-back. While she was scrutinized for looking too thin, this dress did nothing for her body in any way. I have quite an obsession with Roland Mouret, and while the dress itself is beautiful, it is her lack of accessories that brought her to my worst dressed list. If we had seen this on Dita Von Teese complete with finger waves and red lipstick, I would've been in love.

CMA Awards: Best Dressed

While the 46th annual CMA Awards red carpet was anything but impressive, I still managed to find a few gowns that stood out above the crowd.

#1 Was of course the beautiful Carrie Underwood in this unbelievable Reem Acra. While I am typically against bright whites in the fall and winter, I threw the rule book out the window for this one. The detail on this gown is unbelievable stunning. There is no point in having me describe it, check it out for yourself!

#2 You may be surprised, but my second best isn't even an artist, but an artist's wife! David Nail's wife Catherine looked like a retro Hollywood star in this beautiful (slightly risque) grey Jovani gown. The red lipstick, clutch, and finger wave hair just adds the finishing touches to old Hollywood glam.

#3 I'm a sucker for old Hollywood glam. And this Black and White Moschino gown on Lucy Hale is perfection.

#4 Taylor swift graced the carpet in this gorgeously detailed Jenny Packham gown that was probably intentionally red due to her recent album release. While the gown's intricate details are stunning I had a difficult time deciding whether to put her on my best dressed list or not. The underlying color of the gown blends in with her skin too much, but we all know things can look completely different on camera. With that aside I would only make one correction, which is to do something different with her hair. The detail of the gown is already so overpowering I would've preferred to see her with her hair up to leave the focus only on the dress.
